Today at the Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment, Justice Minister Nela Kuburović attended a ceremony which marked the procurement of a new concert piano for which the largest sum had been secured through the Ministry’s call for the awarding of “opportunity” funds (based on the principle of opportunity which grants prosecutors’ discretion not to prosecute non-opportune cases). The project for the procurement of a new piano, for which the Endowment received 16 million dinars, was one of this year’s 98 projects funded through the Ministry’s call. On 20 March 2017, the Ministry issued the second public call for the awarding of “opportunity” funds following which a total of 351,509,000 dinars were allocated.

The Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment Director Jasna Dimitrijević thanked the Ministry of Justice and other donors for having enabled the fulfilment of a great vision. “The purchase of a new concert piano is a message to all our friends that they should not give up on their goals”, Dimitrijević said, adding that the new piano had been presented to the Belgrade audience for the first time at a concert given by the pianist Ivo Pogorelić several days before.

As a sign of gratitude, symbolic acknowledgements in a form of piano keys were offered to Minister Kuburović and the other donors. The video material is available at www.infobiro.tv.
